overview

A beloved fixture from yesteryear, the Malaysia Yellow Pages challenge was to redefine the brand for the digital world whilst retaining its positive heritage.

Brand research confirmed the business strategy: to survive in the digital space, this grand-daddy of all search engines needed to move from a hard copy to a multi-platform offering and at the same time, shift from commoditised data to rich, in-depth information. In doing so, the Yellow Pages is working towards fulfilling its brand promise as "Life's Handy Guide" – handy in its accessibility and handy in its useful information. The multi-platform strategy required architecture, which was followed by a visual system.

Ova continues to work with Yellow Pages on brand design projects.
